Student Outreach
Student Presentation Deadline: Student presentation submissions will remain open until the session is full or at least until Wednesday, April 30, whichever comes first.
All students at the undergraduate level and above are welcome to attend the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Midwest Section Meeting and experience an engaging meeting featuring expert-led scientific symposia, updates on the latest in food safety, challenges in detection and analytical methods, networking with professionals in the field, and more!
Tuesday afternoon will feature a discussion session, featuring round tables where student attendees can meet with professional attendees for discussions on the industry, career paths, and more. This session will be an interactive discussion, so student attendees are encouraged to come prepared to both ask questions about the industry and it career options, and talk about their own accomplishments and goals. Students will also be welcome to attend our full slate of addresses, technical presentations, and Tuesday’s networking event where they can meet even more of our professional attendees. Finally, Wednesday’s Hot Topics technical session will open with student-led presentations, giving students a chance to share their work in a professional conference setting.
Registration
We offer two student registration options, both discounted to help you attend. Attend the full meeting and have access to all the events on the schedule, with meals included, for only $175. Or for an even more budget-friendly option, our single-day student registration gets you access to all of our events on Tuesday, May 13 or Wednesday, May 14 for only $100.
The one-day student registration includes the student presentation session, but if you’re submitting for one of the other technical sessions be sure to confirm on the schedule that your registration covers that session’s day.
